Another top-quality model from Wargame Exclusive and Grim Skull. I must say that I am decidedly biased in favor of the models from this company, as in addition to this model, I also bought and have painted the Wolves Prime, Saint Celestia, Master of Crusade, Imperial Confessor, and Mortuary Prime. However, there is a significant reason why I prefer Wargame Exclusive models, and that is because the quality is always second to none and consistent across their entire product line. I have yet to purchase and paint a Wargame Exclusive model that hasn’t challenged me to improve as a painter or was an absolute joy to paint from start to finish. As for the Chaos Lord of Night, this was a tricky model to paint but it definitely exhibits all of the best qualities of a mini model of this genre–crisp, extra-fine details, a phenomenal design, and just enough of an intimidation factor to make it a challenge to paint but still fun at the same time. If they release a larger, 60mm Collector’s Edition of this model (like they did for Master of Crusade), I would be right there on the pre-order. Can’t wait for the next release.
