Description

IMPORTANT! This set allows you to build NECROCYBORG AWAKEN LORD.

HQ resin miniature in 40k Heroic scale with 40mm Scenic base.
The miniatures require painting and assembly (use cyanoacrylate superglue only).

PREPARATION

1. Check

Firstly, check out all the details whether there are no missing or miscast parts.
If you have problems with details – please contact us.

Then, prepare warm water and clean each part with an old toothbrush and a dishwashing liquid to remove any excess mould release agent which may still be on the surface of the parts.
Please leave the parts to soak for a while before scrubbing if they feel very greasy.
We highly recommend not skipping this step!
Any mould release agent left on the model may prevent the primer from adhering to the model.

2. Casting Gates

The casting gates can be removed with a pair of clippers. Use a sanding pad, modelling knife or model file to clean off any excess.
In case gates are too large for the clippers, use a razor saw or piercing saw.

3. Mould Lines

Resin components are cast into silicone moulds that have split lines.
Sometimes, there may be slight lines on the model that shows where the mould joins together.
In that case, you should remove them so that they don’t show up after painting.
Please use a modelling knife or a file to carefully scrape or file away the line.
Then a smooth surface with some fine sandpaper if it’s necessary.

4. Warped Parts and Repositioning

Sometimes thinner parts could be slightly bent or twisted.
You can easily fix that by immersing the piece in hot water or by applying heat from a hairdryer.
The piece should reform to its original shape by itself.
If not, gently twist the piece back into position.
The amount of heat that needs to be applied is often determined by the thickness of the parts. Thicker parts need to be heated for a longer time.
This technique can also be used to bend some parts into shapes and positions to pose models.

Very high quality cast, with this level of details it puts the official resin kits to shame. Makes a very convincing Cryptek 🙂
There was very little cleanup to do (a mould line here and there, but most are well hidden).

Given the number of pieces, an assembly guide would have been appreciated (It took me some time to figure out the placement of the two “cloth strips” on the front), even if one can figure things out with just the pictures here (if printing a assembly guide is too much, maybe just make it an extra pictures or two)

I will definitely recommand these, and other kits, to fellow “Necrocyborgs” collectors 😉

    5/5

The pictures weren’t enough for me as I managed to glue a tentacle parts the wrong way and broke it when trying to adjust it making it even more difficult to glue it in the right place. The model itself is in a fantastic quality with only a tiny bit of mold lines but it’s complicated to put together without any guide which takes away a star for me.

  3. foxykit

Like almost all of the kits here, this is really beautiful. The cast is finely detailed with very little in the way of cleanup and preparation. It’s nicer than many of the “official” kits and I’d recommend it to anyone. The resin quality is the best I’ve ever come across.

One note of warning: no instructions whatsoever are provided, not even purely visual ones. You’ll have to use the pictures on this site as a reference and there is a strong possibility you’ll do things in the wrong order. This wasn’t an issue with their older kits, but they are becoming more advanced and detailed all the time. DRY FIT EVERYTHING!

As always, a very high quality model, though with a bit of a tricky assembly process. As others mentioned, you need to refer to the images on this site to see what the model should look like, though I like that the tentacles each had a different socket shape to help fit them in the right place. Two of the arms have a specific way of fitting onto the model that goes with the two lengths of cloth on the front – the joints have been etched for this but can be easily missed, so double-checking the fit before gluing is recommended.

  5. Larry.I

An Excellent model! Superb modeling, detail, and casting quality – there’s practically *no* flash on the parts.

At first I thought that without guide with all the parts assembling it would be a pain but it was actually a very simple kit. Very high quality and I barely had to do any touch ups on the parts before or after assembling, it looks absolutely gorgeous on my table and makes fine addition to my collection of space robot egyptians skeletons.
