Description

“Chaser” is a deep-field reconnaissance and sabotage scout, designed to be the best since childhood: taught full-time trainings, genetic modifications, cyber implants and best equipment based on newest technologies only.
As a perceptive and calculating specialist, “Chaser” observes and sabotage mission objects and other “points of interest” with high proficiency.
All she need to succeed even “impossible” missions is only a light armor, optical-masking cloak, light jump-pack, quantum transmitter and sniper rifle, connected to special OA (observation and analytics) drone, which have efficient all-specter radiation detectors and top-level AI.

PREPARATION

1. Check

Firstly, check out all the details whether there are no missing or miscast parts.
If you have problems with details – please contact us.

Then, prepare warm water and clean each part with an old toothbrush and a dishwashing liquid to remove any excess mould release agent which may still be on the surface of the parts.
Please leave the parts to soak for a while before scrubbing if they feel very greasy.
We highly recommend not skipping this step!
Any mould release agent left on the model may prevent the primer from adhering to the model.

2. Casting Gates

The casting gates can be removed with a pair of clippers. Use a sanding pad, modelling knife or model file to clean off any excess.
In case gates are too large for the clippers, use a razor saw or piercing saw.

3. Mould Lines

Resin components are cast into silicone moulds that have split lines.
Sometimes, there may be slight lines on the model that shows where the mould joins together.
In that case, you should remove them so that they don’t show up after painting.
Please use a modelling knife or a file to carefully scrape or file away the line.
Then a smooth surface with some fine sandpaper if it’s necessary.

4. Warped Parts and Repositioning

Sometimes thinner parts could be slightly bent or twisted.
You can easily fix that by immersing the piece in hot water or by applying heat from a hairdryer.
The piece should reform to its original shape by itself.
If not, gently twist the piece back into position.
The amount of heat that needs to be applied is often determined by the thickness of the parts. Thicker parts need to be heated for a longer time.
This technique can also be used to bend some parts into shapes and positions to pose models.

  3. cdbaillie

This miniature is cool. The detail is lovely, especially the attached drone. I’d love to see some of those sold separately.

  4. axelwilliams331

Amazing model, great detail and a much better looking version of Cadré Fireblade over the Games Workshop Variation, would recommend if you want a cool army that is also slightly Heretical ^^

  5. foxykit

Beautiful and clean model that really stands out in a Kill Team. It was super easy to convert the weapon with 40k scale components. Every bit as detailed as the photos suggest.

  6. Antoine

One of the best model i’ve bought so far. Great design, with little fan service but still safe, and of course great material who didn’t need any cleaning. Perfection.

  7. Marcin

Love this mini. Details are great, quality is perfect. Nothing bad to say about it.

  8. Boguslav

Amazing model, sharp details, almost none mold lines to clean up. Placing it on the base wasn’t really convenient, but that was easy to fix.

  9. JohnB

This unit will make an awesome Killteam model! love the detail. No cleanup required!!

Love this model and have used it to test my skills on painting Tau units repeatedly due to the fine detail work. If I could offer at least some criticism on the model it is that the ridges on the shoulder plates and the drone are too shallow, which can result in a lot of problems when trying to highlight them.

To give an idea of just how crazy shallow the lines are: I tried contrast paint, nuln oil, and Gundam black panel liner. Out of all three, the only thing that eventually worked with going in with jewelers magnifiers and carefully applying nuln oil to them, then doing the same method to painstakingly correct with my base color because even the oil paint at the barest minimum amount would spill out.

Also, the model is tricky to place on the base since it doesn’t include any spot that appears obvious for the foot placement. I usually end up having the gun sort of aiming downwards a bit so I run off the assumption she is supposed to be on a cliff face or some high point.

Each approach was attempted on a different copy of the model, so it was not a base coat issue and the mounting problem was experienced on all three. Despite this, I’m only knocking a single star off as it is a good quality sculpt, especially given how uninspiring the default Tau infantry are in Warhammer 40k.
